MacBeth's Cabins Frequently Asked Questions
YES, we do. There is an additional charge of $10.00/night or $40.00/weekly over the base cabin rate. Pets must be kept on a leash when outside the cabin and should not be left alone in the cabin. How can I pay for the cabin? Is a deposit required? Payment can be made by money order, personal check, traveler's checks, most major credit cards, and even cash (is that a new form of credit?). A deposit is required to reserve a cabin. Payment in full is expected at the time of check in.
Can any of the cabins sleep more people than listed in the description? Yes, but not all of the cabins. Some cabins do allow for additional person(s) at a charge of $12.00/night or $50.00/weekly. Please contact us regarding additional people for the cabin you have in mind. The "number of people the cabin sleeps" includes both children and adults. What items are provided in the cabins and what do we need to bring? Beyond the basic furnishings described in our cabin descriptions, we also provide bed linens and two blankets per bed. You must bring your dishes, cooking utensils, eating utensils, bath towels, kitchen towels, grills, weiner forks, and extra blankets (in cooler weather). You might also want to bring a radio or television, but our reception in the Clarion River valley is limited. A 4' x 8' rack of firewood is provided for cabins with indoor fireplaces only. Those guests renting cabins without fireplaces, must either bring or purchase (we also sell firewood at the store) firewood for campfires. All of the cabins have outdoor campfire areas with picnic tables. We recommend bringing an axe or hatchet to chop the wood into smaller pieces. Are MacBeth's Cabins open year round? YES! We offer ten cabins during the Winter months. What about facilities for the younger kids? We have a small playground for the younger kids. What IS supplied with the cabins? All cabins include bed linens, two blankets per bed, full kitchen and restroom facilities and natural gas heat. We also provide an outdoor picnic table, lawn chairs and an outdoor fire area with each cabin. All cabins with indoor fireplaces include one 4x8 foot stack of firewood per rental. What is NOT supplied with the cabins? You must bring your own dishes, pots, pans, bath towels, kitchen towels, and extra blankets. Wood is not provided for cabins without indoor fireplaces. Is there anything that is not permitted? Neither tenting or motor home camping is permitted. Are there any additional items we may wish to bring? For your own enjoyment, you may wish to bring a
grill, an axe, hot dog forks or a fan. In the fall and winter, you
may want extra blankets. |
