Horseback Riding Around Cook Forest

Cook Forest State Park has several Horseback Riding Stables (all within about 4 miles of MacBeth's Cabins) with guided trail rides of various lengths on scenic trails.
It is probably a good idea to call in advance to make reservations for parties.

Some of the stables even offer limited boarding for your own horse.

The Allegheny National Forest does not have any designated "Equestrian" trails, but does allow horseback riding anywhere except in campgrounds, and on hiking and skiing trails.
