Deer Spotting around Cook Forest

Deer spotting in and around Cook Forest has always been a popular activity.

Whitetail deer can be found in abundance in Cook Forest and the surrounding areas. They can most frequently be seen at dawn or dusk.
"Deer spotting" with a floodlight is permitted until 11:00 pm. Please take the proper precautions so as not to disrupt traffic or place yourself or others in danger while spotting from an automobile.

For those of you who would like to see trophy whitetail deer close up, the Double Diamond "Deer Ranch" is only 5 miles from MacBeth's Cabins, on Route 36.
